Michelangelo
Here is another little piece of Italian culture. One of the most famous Italian artists, Michelangelo.
Michelangelo was born on March 6, 1475 as Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni in the Republic of Florence. He was an Italian Renaissance painter, sculptor, architect, and poet. His most significant example of painting lies in his frescoes on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Though he worked with many media, he mainly worked in marble sculpture.
Notable works include the Sistine Chapel and the Statue of David:
